Pawpass Wins Agri-Tech Grant to Explore Digital ID for Livestock

We’re excited to announce that Pawpass has been awarded an Innovate UK grant to explore how our digital ID technology, originally built for pets, can be adapted for livestock and farming.

In collaboration with Innovate UK Business Growth and the UK Agri-Tech centre, the funding will allow us to run a feasibility study engaging directly with farmers and supply chain stakeholders.

Our digital ID, powered by blockchain, was designed to securely store and verify pet health records, vaccinations, and microchip data. In the farming context, this infrastructure could help streamline disease monitoring, automate compliance checks, and enable better farm-to-fork traceability. Farmers often manage large volumes of paperwork and fragmented systems and our goal is to offer a more connected and reliable solution.

As part of the project, we will host a webinar with farmers to explore three key themes: ease of record-keeping, disease control, and supply chain transparency. Using live polling and open discussion, we aim to test real-world needs and shape our product roadmap accordingly.

Winning this grant is an important milestone for Pawpass. It reflects growing interest in cross-sector applications of secure digital identity and data management - beyond the companion animal space. We’re keen to see how our technology can deliver practical value on farms, both in the UK and globally.

We’ll be sharing updates as the project progresses and look forward to engaging more deeply with the agri-tech community in the months ahead.
